Hi everybody,
I’m attempting to perform a heat simulation on a steel specimen. Proton irradiation and considerable heating are applied to the part. It’s fine to model this as (W/m) heating a specific section of my part. Are there any useful tutorials available to assist me? I’m not sure where to start when it comes to modeling heat transfer.
Cheers.

Hi,

If the proton irradiation equations are simple and do not a function of many variables. In that case, you can use the ABAQUS casual heat transfer analysis. Check the links below mate. You will learn heat transfer analysis with them.

Analysis of Heat Transfer in Abaqus

Thermal Heat Transfer in Abaqus

But if the equations that cause the heat are complicated and have many variables, you have to use the DFLUX subroutine. Check the link below.

DFLUX Subroutine (VDFLUX Subroutine) in ABAQUS

I hope you can solve your problem.

Best luck.
